本书是论述复合生态系统碳、氮、硫、磷四种元素循环的专著。全书共分五篇。第一篇为序论,介绍本研究的概念结构和试验地区——海河流域的自然与社会经济背景。第二篇为碳、氮、硫、磷在该地区土壤、植被、水体中的分布特征和流通率以及痕量气体源强分布。第三篇为该地区典型生态系统的元素平衡模式与验证,其中包括农田、林地、农林和城市生态系统。第四篇介绍研究方法和工具,包括生态与环境数据库、元素循环数学模式的设计和建立,遥感在土地利用分类方面的应用、元素的化学形态分析。第五篇为持续发展与元素良性循环途径的探讨。

Some concepts and the natural and social backgrounds of Haihe river basin----testing area are introduced. 2. Distributional characteristics and circulation rate of carbon, nitrogen, sulfur and phosphorus in soil, plant and water in the area and source density distribution of trace gases. 3. Elements balance models and verification of typical ecosystem in the area, including farmland, woodland, farming and forestry and urban ecosystem. 4. Approaches and tools for research, including databases of ecology and environment, design and making of mathematical models of elements cycling, application of remote sensing in soil utilization and classification and analyzing of chemical forms of elements. 5. Ways of sustainable development and sound cycling of elements.
